Onyx Boox has released a new model of 6-inch Boox Livingstone 3 which the rebranded version of the company’s Poke e-reader. Boasting a new Carta 1300 display, Onyx Boox asserts a 20 percent higher contrast and 25 percent faster response time. Notably, the display's distinct whiteness enhances the readability of black text, promising a highly enjoyable reading experience with minimal ghosting during page refreshes. The device features a built-in browser for web surfing in monochrome mode and its 3000 mAh battery, according to Boox, can last a month on a single full charge. Weighing a convenient 165 grams (265 grams with the included cover), the Boox Livingstone 3 comes with a price tag of $200.

2020. Onyx Boox Poke 3 e-reader is now available



The new Onyx Boox Poke 3 is the only item in Onyx’s lineup that lacks a WACOM screen and a stylus. Instead, the touchscreen display excels for audiobooks, comics, ebooks, magazines, newspapers, or PDF files. Android 10 and Google Play will ensure all your contemporary apps are compatible. Onyx Boox has introduced the new Poke 2 e-reader. It is primarily a dedicated ebook reader and not a digital note-taking device or e-note. 2019. Onyx Boox MAX 3 received a new firmware



The 13.3-inch digital note-taking device Onyx Boox MAX 3 has received a new firmware update that addresses several persistent problems and includes various bug fixes. 2017. Onyx announced BOOX MAX Carta e-reader



Onyx has just unveiled their second-generation 13.3-inch e-reader Boox Max Carta, which now uses Carta instead of the E Ink Mobius screen. It continues to support the stylus but does not include a touchscreen layer. The e-reader boasts a 13.3-inch E Ink Carta display with a resolution of 2200 x 1650. It is powered by a 1GHz CPU and has 1GB of RAM. With 16GB of internal storage, you can expand it up to 32GB via an SD card. It connects to the internet via WIFI and also includes Bluetooth, though it is unclear if it has a USB host controller for a keyboard. It ships with Android 4.0, but Onyx indicates that it will support Android 4.4 in the future. Additionally, it features a speaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack for listening to music or audiobooks and a small microphone. The Onyx Boox Carta is priced at $853.


2015. Onyx showed 13-inch HD e-reader



Onyx has announced a new 13.3-inch e-reader set to compete with the Sony Digital Paper and the forthcoming Pocketbook CAD. The e-reader will feature a newly developed flexible PVI HD touchscreen with a resolution of 2200 x 1650 and will come with a stylus for writing, drawing, or taking notes. This device will run on Google Android instead of Linux, allowing the installation of apps. However, it remains to be seen whether they will offer an app store or continue using the unofficial version of Google Play that their other e-readers utilize. Onyx has stated that this will be available in Spring 2016, but there is no information yet on pricing or availability.
